JUST ADD BABY

The room is complete and we are now just awaiting the arrival of our grandaughter. Once again, I was able to weasle my way into helping with another project. It was so much fun helping my daughter Whitney create a relaxing and serene nursery that will grow along with their baby girl.

The nursery design began after Whitney found a crib and dresser that she loved. These were her "splurge" pieces. Next came the wondefulr large bird cage canvas. We had a difficult time finding bedding that Whitney loved. It seems as if most baby bedding is "themed" and Whitney was wanting less obtrusive bedding. In addition, we found that so many of the fabrics seemed cheap...even in the expensive special order sets. Whitney found a beautiful Rosetree brand queen size bedding set that she loved AND it was on clearance which made us love it even more! The fabrics were amazing quality and they even offered coordinating curtians! We found a wonderful seamstress here in Topeka who converted the queensize set into a beautiful crib set including bumper pads, extra pillows. comforter and bedskirt!

Now, all that this sweet nursery is missing is that darling baby girl!
